CCPS & 3M workshop on Passive Fire Protection:

NBC07 talk about the importance of passive fire protection measures in building design. In line with this 3M has draft of a manual on passive fire protection. A mock workshop based on this manual was organized by CCPS to review the manual.

Based on this manual, CCPS will be organizing workshops for architects, builders, sr. officials from Govt. sectors, professionals from the construction industry from different parts of India.

Real Estate Permit Data

CCPS initiated the concept. Pursuing with the government bodies and private sector for funding the project .Government bodies are interested in the pilot case study prepared by CCPS.

Annual General Meeting:

CCPS had its 4th AGM to review the progress of last year and draft plans for the coming financial year on Thursday 25th January 2007 at Boardroom of Bosch, New Delhi.

Ishanya:
CCPS received sponsorship from Hafele India Ltd. and AIS Glass Solutions for CCPS training centre. In the process of opening the CCPS Ishanya Training Centre at Ishanya Pune Also, have commitment for materials from Hilti, Dupont, GSC Glass, Fenesta

The Glass and Glazing Project

The glass and glazing project is involved in development of CCPS Good Practice Guide for Selection and Installation The glass and glazing project of Glass in Buildings – Part 1: Human Safety.

The objective of the preparing the Good Practice Guide is to develop for the Indian building industry a commonly accepted method for selection and installation of glass in buildings that is safe in relation to human safety.

A full time working group has already been set up and background material related to the project is being collected. CCPS is presently setting up a steering committee for this project. The role of the committee would to guide, review and finalize the guidelines to be prepared by CCPS.

Doors & Windows

In this Doors & Windows standardization project, Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Co. ltd. has been an ardent supporter. Together, CCPS & Godrej and Boyce plans to bring about quality and efficiency in the industry by initiating projects like training workshops on dimensional co-ordination of doors and windows, testing laboratories for security doors etc.
Masonite, US based MNC is also supporting CCPS for the same with their huge dealer network.

Now with the support of this strong network we can take this project forward, & can also implement the standard sizes in the private sector as well.

Zak Trade Fairs & Exhibition

CCPS is supporting and participating Zak Exhibition for Tiles & Sanitarywares. CCPS is conducting 1 day seminar on designing, specifications and installation of tiles and grouts on 10th March 2007 at NSE Complex, Goregaon, Mumbai.
