Standardization

CPWD supported Doors & Windows initiative

CCPS is prepared to launch the implementation phase of Doors & Windows standardization initiative with reviewed vigor.

We have received a circular issued by CPWD for internal circulation wherein they have approved and mandated within the department the sizes of doors & windows short listed by CCPS on the basis of nation wide survey.

Alliances

CCPS opens a training centre at Ishanya, Pune

CCPS will jointly promote and manage with Ishanya a design promotion and developmental centre that will conduct series of training and industry up gradation initiatives.

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Mr.Kunwar Narayan, COO AIS Glass Solutions on behalf of CCPS and Mr.I.S Narula, President & CEO ISHANYA, a Division of Deepak Fertilizers and Petrochemicals Corporation Limited (DFPCL) was signed on 20th April 2006 at press conference in Mumbai.

A similar press conference will be at Delhi by end of May. You are cordially invited for the press conference.

Publication

A digest of construction products in India.

An editorial advisory board meet was organized on 7th April for CCPS annual publication “Construction Products in India”. Senior people from the industry participated in this meeting and contributed with their invaluable inputs.
To review the progress of the publication the another meeting will be held on 25th May.

Exhibition

ICON – 2006 Exhibition

CCPS participated in ICON 2006 exhibition held at Greater Noida from 2nd May to 4th May 06. The show was successful with the presence of some quality exhibitors. The major exhibitors who participated were Carpets International Thailand, Everest Industries Ltd., Overseas Connexions Ltd., Bellstone International, Bharat Earth Movers Ltd., Granilit India etc.

Selection of appropriate glass in buildings

One of our most successful training programs “Selection of Appropriate Glass in Buildings” is ready to move to the 2nd phase.
In first phase over 1000 professionals were trained from among:

  1. Practicing architects; project managers
  2. Engineers
  3. Dealers of glass
  4. Builders
  5. Sales people in glass and related industry.
  6. Fabricators
  7. Personnel involved in material procurement.
